Javier Solis

(1931-1966)

His real name was Gabriel Siria Levario and he was born in Mexico City, in the neighborhood of Tacubaya. Of humble birth, he held a number of odd jobs, including that bar singer, before recording his first hit song, the bolero Llorarás, llorarás in 1958, under the direction of Felipe Leal Valdéz.  The King of the bolero ranchero, as he was known, died on April 16, 1966 after a surgery.
