| Mexican singer and actor. He was born Jorge Alberto Negrete Moreno
on November, 911 in Guanajuato of a wealthy family with a great military
tradition. When he was 14 years old, he enrolled in a military college.
At 19, he began his musical studies at the Academy of José Pierson. In 1931,
he left his military career to began a career as singer without much success.
It wasn't until he began to sing cuban musica that his career took off. In
1937, he began his career as an actor. He died on December,1953 when he was only 42 years old.. |
