Armando Villareal Lozano

(1903 - 1976)

Mexican composer Armando Villarreal Lozano was born in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo León, on August 9, 1903. He began to compose when he was 14 years old. His best known song itis Morenita mía (the first bolero tregistered in Mexico), which was wrote in 1921 to his girlfriend María Guadalupe Salazar Rodríguez whom he married in 1926. He died on March 15, 1976 in Monterrey, Nuevo León.
