| Composer and Cuban singer born in the neighborhood of Los Pinos in Havana on June 21 1927. In 1949 he moves to Mexico in search of more opportunities and there where he works in clubs, radio and television. He returns to Cuba in 1959. He is author of pieces classic as La gloria eres tú, novia mía, Quiéreme y verás and Ayer la vi llorar. It was part of the musical current denominated filin (from the English word feeling ) |
