Rafael Hernández
(1892-1965)
 
Rafael Hernández Marín was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico on October 24 1892. Their musical training began to the 12 year-old age, learning how to play several instruments like the guitar, the violin and the piano. Already of adolescent he moved to San Juan to be part of the Municipal Orchestra. With the arrival of the First World War it was listed in the armed forces, but when being given of drop he returned to New York to continue their career. He died of cancer on December 11 1965. Their legacy is its countless musical compositions in those that operettas are included, operettas, dances, waltzes, congas, guarachas, rumbas, boleros, romanzas and full.
