| Pedro Flores Córdova was born on March 9 1894, in Naguabo,
Puerto Rico into a humble family of
12. After graduating as a teacher at the age of 16 years from the University of Puerto Rico, he
taught until he was recruited by the United States Army. After leaving the
army,
he traveled to the United States where, in 1930, formed the Quartet Flores to begin
recording his own boleros and ballads. He died on July, 1979. |
