| He is considered the composer and musical chronicler of Mexico City. Don Chava Flores was born in La Merced, a neighborhood in Mexico City, on January 14, 1920. In 1952, he recorded two of his songs for the RCA Victor, La tertulia and Dos horas de balazos. Later, he recorded several more songs more achieving in one year 13 hits in Mexico and 5 hits in the top ten list in the United States. He died on August 5, 1987, of the cancer. |
