| Mexican musician, composer and self taught architect. He
was
born on April 21, 1911 in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas. With his siblings Armando "chamaco", Abel and Ernesto
he formed a group of
marimbists Lira de San Cristóbal, in addition
to participating as pianist in several orchestras. He died on September 2, 975. He is
the author of Perfidia, which was recorded by Benny Goodman and
Artie Shaw and Frenesí, another of his best known songs. |
