The life of
Augusto Alberto Cárdenas Pinelosta, better known as Guty Cárdenas, was characterized by
its brevity and intensity. He was born in Merida, Yucatan on December 2,
1905 as part of a wealthy family. He was discovered by Ignacio
Fernández Esperón "Tata Nacho" who convinced him to go to Mexico City to
begin his musical career. In Mexico City, he was able to triumph in a very
time thanks to his voice and thequality of his songs. He was murdered in
Mexico City on April 5, 1932.
